Houghton House- north front

The north front was not the main entrance, but was designed to be the most visually striking. Designed to overlook the extensive hunting park, the grandest rooms in the house faced north.
The double-storey loggia which provided sheltered access to the garden, is thought to have been designed by Inigo Jones.
